APEX ENGINEERS is currently seeking a self-motivated and team-oriented Entry Level Transportation Engineer for our Jacksonville, Florida office. APEX ENGINEERS is a transportation engineering firm. We provide consulting services for transportation design projects for the FDOT, county and municipalities. Our primary services include roadway and drainage design. We are a fast-growing company with great opportunity to learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of Senior level staff, assist in the design and development of roadway plans for complex highway, roadway interchange and drainage projects.
- Roadway Horizontal and Vertical geometry design.
- Signing and Pavement Marking
- Maintenance of Traffic
- Design of stormwater management facilities
- Design of storm drain system
- Hydraulic calculations and modeling of culverts and bridges;
- Field reviews
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with other members of the Design Team
- Ability to multi-task and communicate schedule and progress on assigned tasks
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineer is Required
- EI Certification preferred
- 0 to 4 years of prior engineering experience in FDOT projects
- Exposure to Open Road Design (ORD) and/or AutoCAD
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Prefer candidate with interest in roadway and drainage design.
